New version WinDriver USB/PCI for Windows, Linux and Solaris
30 November 2005
Computer/Embedded Technology
Jungo Software Technologies, a leading provider of USB/PCI software solutions, has released Version 7.02 of its driver development toolkits - WinDriver USB/PCI - for cross operating system and multiple architecture host driver development, and WinDriver USB Device - for USB firmware code generation.
The new release supports the Microchip PIC18F4550 development board and includes automated firmware and driver code generation. The enhanced support is the result of a recent collaboration between Microchip and Jungo to provide custom software solutions for Microchip's PIC Microcontroller USB family.
WinDriver 7.02 also includes support for the latest Linux kernels up to 2.6.13, for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures, and a new option to define an interrupt mask in the kernel-mode interrupt transfer commands for PCI-based devices.
A comprehensive list of the new features, enhancements and fixes to Jungo's driver development toolkits is posted at www.jungo.com/wdver.html. Jungo customers with a valid support subscription are entitled to upgrade to v7.02 free of charge.
