DC to 13 GHz digital attenuator module with coax sockets

Hittite Microwave, a supplier of MMIC-based solutions for communication and military markets, has introduced a new 0,5 dB LSB, 6-bit digital attenuator connectorised module for military EW/ECM, space, test equipment, and microwave radio applications from DC to 13 GHz.

The HMC-C025 is a DC to 13 GHz 6-bit digital attenuator housed in an hermetic connectorised module. This GaAs MMIC-based attenuator features 4 dB typical insertion loss, +38 dBm input IP3, and 31,5 dB total attenuation in 0,5 dB steps. It operates with positive control and offers superior attenuation accuracy of ±0,3 dB.

The HMC-C025 wideband digital attenuator features removable SMA connectors to facilitate mating with standard coaxial cable assemblies, or the connectors can be quickly detached for direct connection of the module's I/O pins to a microstrip or grounded co-planar PCB. This hermetically-sealed module is rated for operation from -55 to 85°C, and can be assembled and screened for military and space applications.
