Infineon is offering a new wireless control receiver designed for a broad spectrum of applications such as access control, security systems, consumer remote controls, automotive and home automation. The TDA523x targets wireless control products that require low power consumption and compact design. With its multichannel capability and screening for different IDs in the received data stream the receiver reduces the workload of the host microcontroller.
The TDA523x combines a high sensitivity (-108 dBm ASK/FSK) image-reject RF front-end with a flexible digital baseband, and it can be reprogrammed on the fly. It offers up to 17 channels in the frequency bands 302-320 MHz, 433-450 MHz and 865-870 MHz.
The TDA523x provides low power consumption, consuming only 8 mA in active mode and 1 μA in power-down mode, and its autonomous wakeup and configurable self-polling features drive down the true average current consumption to 200 μA.
