Z-Communications has introduced a new lead-free, RoHS compliant sub miniature VCO, the SMV4705B-LF, in C-band (4580–4830 MHz) featuring low phase noise of -86 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset.
This design covers the entire bandwidth between 0 and 5 V, with a tuning sensitivity of 107 MHz/V and harmonic suppression of -25 dBc. This model has linear tuning and works at 5 V d.c. supply while drawing 17 mA over the operating temperature range of -40 to +85°C.
The VCO comes in a SUB-L package measuring 7,6 x 7,6 x 21,3 mm, is suitable for automated surface mount assembly and reflow and is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements.
