SMA terminations for Wi-Fi and WiMAX

20 February 2008 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

Aeroflex has developed reverse polarity SMA male terminations for Wi-Fi, WiMAX, and other wireless networking applications utilising the 802.11b standard. They are RoHS compliant and have a frequency range of DC – 6 GHz with power handling of 1 Watt. Reverse polarity connectors employ the use of a female contact supplied in a plug connector and a male contact in a jack connector. This is a connector keying system that ensures that reverse polarity connectors cannot mate with standard interface connectors.
