Sagem Communications has launched the HiLo, claiming it to be the smallest GPRS module ever engineered, measuring only 27 x 27 x 3,6 mm. With quad-band, class 10 GPRS functionality and embedded TCP/IP stacks, the M2M module is suited to applications that have space limitations and require a small and compact design, such as point of sale terminals, trackers and security.
The HiLo's low power consumption of less than 1,5 mA in idle mode and its guaranteed 3,2 V minimum power supply make it an excellent solution for battery-powered devices. In addition, its extended operational temperature range from -40°C to 85°C makes it applicable to the automotive sector.
