Multi-output programmable power supply system

28 May 2008 Power Electronics / Power Management

The Testron 2400 modular power supply system allows a combination of high and low power modules in the same ATE environment, providing a true single-box solution, saving space and money.

Each 19" by 51/4" mainframe is user configurable by selecting up to eight power modules. The 1/8 width modules range from 160 W to 720 W (rated up to 40 A), 2/8 width modules range from 640 W up to 1,6 kW (rated up to 80 A) and 3/8 width high power modules provide 2 kW or more, limited by the mainframe power envelope (rated up to 80 A).

The system continuously monitors the delivered power, ensuring that the power envelope condition is not violated, and incorporates advanced features designed to offload effort from the ATE controller, giving better protection to the DUT and simplifying the test system and control software.

All functions can be programmed via IEEE-488 (GPIB) or RS232, or manually set and monitored from the front panel for convenient, hands-on testing and debugging. Integration is simple with ready-to-use drivers for Labview, LabWindows/CVI, TestPoint and AtEasy software development environments.
