RF Micro Devices has announced the introduction of nine single-junction and dual-junction isolators for wireless infrastructure applications. The new products include the PIxxxxAG-21H line of 30 W reverse power single junction isolators and the PDxxxxAQ-21H line of 100 W reverse power dual junction isolators designed for the high-power, linear amplification sections of cellular base stations.
The isolators are constructed with samarium cobalt (SmCo) magnets packaged in aluminium housings, providing immediate improvements in reliability and performance as well as a 'green' environmentally friendlier application, versus existing generations of isolators. Each new product delivers excellent electrical performance and rugged construction developed to meet the more demanding operational requirements of the new highly-integrated dual- and quad-density platforms utilised in next-generation cellular base stations.
The PIxxxxAG-21H line includes five devices tuned to cover the five major cellular frequency bands from 869 MHz to 2190 MHz. The isolators feature forward IMD performance of -75 dBc, insertion loss of 0,2 dB nominal and isolation equal to 20 dB minimum. They are supplied in an industry standard 25 x 25 mm 'drop-in', lead-free and RoHS compliant package.
Features of the PDxxxxAQ-21H line, which offers four modules covering the four major cellular frequency bands from 869 MHz to 1990 MHz, include IMD performance of -70 dBc forward and -90 dBc reverse, insertion loss of 0,35 dB and isolation equal to 50 dB. They are supplied in a 25 x 50 mm, lead-free and RoHS compliant package.
