Novatel Wireless has introduced the E970D and E960D Expedite mini card embedded modules, providing OEMs with a solution to integrate 3G wireless functionality into their product lines.
The E970D is a global embedded modem, with receiver diversity optimised for HSPA networks in 900, 1900 and 2100 MHz bands, while the E960D is optimised for HSPA networks in North America’s 850, 1900 and 2100 MHz bands. The modems feature backwards compatibility and automatic switching between GPRS/EDGE/3G networks.
Expanding on the robust qualities of the Expedite product line, the new modules enable data download rates up to 7,2 Mbps. They provide enhanced upload rates of up to 5,7 Mbps. With a high efficiency compact design (PCIe type F2), extended voltage input capability, integrated GPS and optional PCM voice capabilities, the modules offer flexibility, security and reliability.
