Multiprotocol data chipset

Maxim has introduced the MAX13171E multiprotocol data transceiver, the MAX13173E multiprotocol clock transceiver, and the MAX13175E multiprotocol termination IC. These three devices form a multiprotocol transceiver chipset that supports V.28 (RS232), V.10/V.11 (RS449/V.36, RS530, RS530A, X.21) and V.35 protocols. They provide space savings with their small TQFN packaging, achieve high V.35 and V.11 data rates and provide enhanced ESD protection. The chipset is well suited for telecommunication, data networking/routing and PCI card applications. The devices operate over a wide 3,135 V to 5,5 V supply range and provide low-voltage (1,62 V) logic capabilities. The chipset is fully specified over the -40°C to +85°C industrial temperature range. Each device is available in a small, 5 x 7 mm, 38-pin TQFN package.
