High-speed logic chips for communications

9 May 2001 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

Three new ultra-high-speed devices have been added to Micrel Semiconductor's growing portfolio of communications solutions in the company's proprietary ECL Pro logic family. The new devices include: SY10EP16V: 3,3/5 V differential receiver; SY10EP58V: 3,3/5 V 2:1 multiplexer; SY10EP01V: 3,3/5 V 4-input OR/NOR gate.

The ECL Pro devices are offered in SOIC-8 packaging and, for the first time, in tiny MSOP-8 packaging. Micrel says it is the first manufacturer in the industry to offer these logic functions in mini-SOP packaging which is 50% of the size of a conventional SO-8 package.
