Bluegiga’s new WT41 is a Bluetooth OEM module that provides the maximum allowable +20 dBm output power for long range communications. The device can achieve 1000 m links in optimal conditions and several hundreds of metres in an urban or office environment. In addition to an RF power amplifier, the WT41 also implements a low noise amplifier which improves the module’s sensitivity down to -90 dBm. This sensitivity improvement extends the module’s range to Bluetooth class 2 devices such as mobile phones or PDAs. The device is available with integrated chip antenna or U.FL antenna connector.
The WT41 is available with Bluegiga’s iWRAP firmware offering support for several Bluetooth profiles such as SPP, HDP, DUN, OPP, FTP HFP, HSP, AVRCP, PBAP, DI, HID and standard HCI over UART or USB.
