Hittite has introduced two new SMT packaged high-resolution 6-bit and 7-bit digital attenuators for automotive, broadband, cellular/3G, WiMAX/4G, military and test and measurement equipment applications. The HMC792LP4E is a digitally controlled GaAs attenuator which operates from DC to 6 GHz, and can be programmed to provide up to 15,75 dB attenuation with 0,25 dB resolution. The HMC759LP3E is a 7-bit BiCMOS attenuator which operates from 10 to 300 MHz, and can be programmed to provide up to 31,75 dB attenuation in 0,25 dB steps. It exhibits excellent attenuation accuracy, and delivers P1dB and output IP3 of up to +21 dBm and +40 dBm respectively. The HMC759LP3E features a CMOS/TTL compatible serial control interface, user selectable power up states, and a serial output port for cascading other Hittite serially controlled components.
