USB-to-serial converters

7 July 2010 Telecoms, Datacoms, Wireless, IoT

Sena Technologies has added the DirectPort-USB USB-to-serial converters to its product range.

DirectPort-USB UC1 is a high-speed, single-port USB-to-RS232 converter designed to provide serial COM port via USB port, while the UC1B variant converts to RS422/485 for multidrop applications. Both devices support serial speeds up to 921,6 Kbps and provide ESD protection up to ±15 kV. DirectPort-USB works with computers with limited or absent native serial port availability.

The converters include internal RS422/485 terminal resistors and are equipped with a standard DB9 male connector with TX/RX LEDs. They support Windows, Linux and MAC.
