Digi International’s ConnectCore 3G embedded module is a pre-certified embedded M2M gateway module with unrestricted cellular connectivity, Ethernet, GPS support, and software and hardware design integration flexibility. Its combination of features makes it well suited for wireless M2M applications in a wide variety of target markets such as energy, utilities, transportation, industrial/building automation, digital signage and security/access control.

Built on leading Qualcomm Gobi 2000 technology, the module allows designers to instantly add intelligent cellular communication to their products. Selecting cellular network technology and carriers can be performed at any time via software configuration and service provisioning. Combined with the iDigi platform-as-a-service offering for M2M device management and cloud-based messaging, Digi enables customers to build scalable, secure solutions that seamlessly tie enterprise applications and remote device assets together, regardless of location or network.

Design and integration flexibility is provided through a rich set of peripherals and off-module connector options. The module has a high-speed USB host interface for integration of memory cards, cameras and other devices. Its future-proof design also ensures an upgrade path to 4G technology.
