S-band VCO

Z-Communications has introduced a new RoHS-compliant VCO (voltage-controlled oscillator) in S-band. The V804ME02-LF operates at 2165-2650 MHz with a tuning voltage range of 0,5 to 19 V d.c.

It features a typical phase noise of -101 dBc/Hz @ 10 kHz offset and a typical tuning sensitivity of 32 MHz/V. It is aimed at digital radio and test instrument applications that require low phase noise performance.

The device is designed to deliver a typical output power of 5 dBm at 12 V d.c. supply while drawing 23 mA over the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It features typical second harmonic suppression of -18 dBc and comes in Z-Comm’s standard MINI-16-LOW package measuring 12,7 x 12,7 x 4 mm. It is available in tape and reel packaging for production requirements, and is suitable for automated surface mount assembly and reflow.
