SP4T RF switch

Renesas Electronics and California Eastern Laboratories (CEL) are collaborating to produce the UPD5904T7K, a high-power CMOS SP4T switch IC for multi-mode 3G/4G/LTE handsets, femtocells, RFID and general-purpose RF applications.

The device operates up to 6 GHz and handles 35 dBm RF input power with low insertion loss, high linearity and low harmonics – all with low-voltage operation and high ESD immunity, delivered in a low-profile 2 mm package. A built-in logic controller allows users to control the switch with only two low-voltage (down to 1,3 V) control lines.

Blocking capacitors are not required with the UPD5904T7K, further simplifying the design and reducing circuit size and BOM costs. High ESD immunity (1,2 kV HBM) allows customers to simplify their ESD protection circuitry.
