SIMCom has introduced a highly compact and reliable wireless module in the form of the SIM900E, a complete quad-band GSM/GPRS module in LGA format. Designed with a powerful single-chip processor integrating an ARM926EJ-S core, it is targeted at applications requiring small dimensions and cost-effective solutions.
Featuring an industry standard interface, the device delivers GSM/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900 MHz performance for voice, SMS, data and fax in a small form factor and with low power consumption. With a tiny configuration of 19,8 x 19,8 x 3,0 mm, it can fit into almost all M2M space-constrained applications, and is especially suitable for slim and compact design demands.
The SIM900E is the latest edition to the SIM900 family of GSM/GPRS devices, which already features the flagship product SIM900 (castellation SMD), SIM900B (connectorised), SIM900BE (connectorised with SIM card holder), SIM908 (SMD with GPS) and SIM900DS (SMD dual SIM).
