Brightking has released two new ESD protection devices covering a variety of application scenarios.
The UAD8C05L01, in a small SOD-882 package, features ultra-low capacitance and low clamping voltage, and can directly replace traditional polymer and ceramic devices to meet requirements such as high triggering voltage, wide breakdown voltage and small surge current capacity.
With a 1,0 x 0,6 x 0,5 mm size, the device boasts a fast response time of 0,5 ns with a leakage current of less than 1 μA at VRWM. The protected circuit is safer thanks to a clamping voltage lower than 14 V and the UAD8C05L01 has a capacitance as low as 0,4 pF, making it ideal for both high- and low-speed data transmission line applications.
Lastly, the SAT36A05L05 series of transient voltage suppressors (TVS) are designed to protect sensitive electronics from damage or latch-up due to ESD and other voltage induced transient events. They are designed for use in applications where board space is at a premium.
Each device will protect up to five lines. They are unidirectional devices and may be used on lines where the signal polarities are above ground. Their low-profile SOT-363 package allows flexibility in the design of crowded circuit boards. The SAT36A05L05 is IEC61000-4-2 ESD 15 kV air, 8 kV contact compliant and has a peak power dissipation of 100 W under a 8/20 μs waveform.
