A new series of digital step attenuators, manufactured using Super RF CMOS technology by Mini-Circuits, features a combination of accuracy, linearity, programmability, ESD tolerance and wide bandwidth in a small 4 x 4 x 0,9 mm surface mount package. The DAT attenuator family includes models requiring only a single positive or positive-negative supply voltage, depending on switching speed and noise requirements.
The devices are configured as a chain of fixed attenuators with bypass switches controlled by an internal driver. They are available in frequency ranges from DC to 4 GHz, with attenuation of up to 31,5 dB and in 50 Ω and 75 Ω models, and accuracy of 0,05 dB typical between DC and 2,4 GHz at a temperature of 25°C.
Connectorised versions in the ZX case style can also be supplied for ease of connection and use in the lab, for prototyping, and in systems.
