Infineon's unified 32 bit TriCore architecture is used in the TC1920. This IC is specifically designed for automotive infotainment applications. A system-on-chip, it can offer high performance at minimised cost. TriCore architecture combines RISC, CISC and DSP functionality on a single core. It has a combination of dedicated automotive peripherals (CAN & J1850) and standard peripherals (ADC, SSC/SPI, UART, IrDA, I2S and I2C). The TC1920 is tailored for applications such as entry-level navigation systems, Internet radios, emergency call systems etc. It comes in LBGA-260 package.
