THR male headers for automated processes

A new generation of Combicon through-hole reflow (THR) technology male headers from Phoenix Contact has been specially developed for use in standard SMT production lines. Component design and packaging simplify integration into existing processes.

The male headers are supplied standard in a tape-feeder pack (tape on reel). Both the reels and the tape are antistatic and are suitable for use in all commonly used feeders. Suction surfaces on the components enable pick and place machines to move and precisely position the components on the PCB. Once in place, standard soldering pin-in-hole connection increases mechanical stability. Insulators specially designed for the reflow solder process open up a wide range of process options for soldering components.

The Combicon product range includes two to eight-pin THR male headers with 5,0 and 5,08 mm pitch in horizontal and vertical variants. The Mini-Combicon male headers are vertical and horizontal plugging, two to 12-pin with 3,5 or 3,81 mm pitch, with optional mounting flange.
