High linearity DC to 3 GHz mixer

Linear Technology's high linearity, down-converting active mixer, the LT5512, offers a class-leading combination of linearity and ease of use over a wide frequency range up to 3 GHz. The part is specified with an input IP3 of +20 dBm and +17 dBm, at 950 and 1900 MHz, respectively. The device is 100% RF production tested, and extensively characterised for high linearity. It is a high linearity alternative to passive mixers, offering conversion gain and significantly lower LO drive levels. The IC includes a differential LO buffer amplifier and an active double-balanced mixer. An integrated RF buffer amplifier improves LO-RF isolation and eliminates the need for precision external bias resistors. The LT5512 also includes temperature-compensated biasing circuitry and a power-down enable/disable circuit. The IC is manufactured in a small 4 X 4 mm QFN package, and operates over 4,5 to 5,25 V.
