The new TDA51SCANHC CAN bus transceiver modules from Mornsun are designed to support the CAN bus protocol, providing an alternative to traditional designs by integrating the transceiver, isolation circuitry and highly efficient DC/DC power conversion in one module. The modules can be used for inter-communications between devices on an industrial bus, achieving signal communication and power isolation.
The TDA51SCANHC family is compliant with the ISO11898-2 standard and has an integrated, fully isolated 5 V power output. It can provide differential transmitting and receiving capability between the CANH protocol controller and the physical-layer bus and is capable of running at data rates up to 1 Mbps. The device has series-line, over-voltage (-40 V to 40 V), ground-loss and thermal shutdown protections, making it especially suitable for working in harsh environments.
Target markets include the automotive industry, rail transportation, smart monitoring, smart meters, industrial automation and many other applications.
