The AM3170 is an analog-tuneable notch filter bank with notches from 6,0 to 18,0 GHz. Six notch filters with SP6T switches on the input and output are contained in the multi-chip module (MCM). The tuning voltage controls the notch frequency, and a bypass path is provided by applying a 0,0 V control voltage while switched to band 1. The AM3170 provides an excellent filtering solution for receivers or transceivers requiring flexible centre frequency removal, high dynamic range, low insertion loss, and small size, weight, and power consumption (low SWaP).
The AM3170 is one in a family of analog voltage-tuneable notch filters offered from Atlanta Micro that covers the extended frequency range of 0,7 to 18,0 GHz. In addition to the AM3170 there is the AM3137 that covers 0,7 to 2,0 GHz, the AM3138 that covers 1,3 to 3,25 GHz, the AM3139 that covers 2,5 to 6,0 GHz, and the AM3129 which is a switched filter bank covering 0,7 to 6,0 GHz.
