Hiconnex has signed a distributorship agreement with CommScope Wireless, a US company. With over 40 years experience as a world-leader in coaxial cable innovations, CommScope Wireless offers a broad array of cable solutions for wireless applications. These include mobile, fixed and in-building wireless networks. It provides advanced coaxial, twisted pair and fibre-optic cable technology to create the wireless access networks.

Cell Reach and Extremeflex are a complete line of 50 Ω smooth wall coaxial cables, factory-assembled jumpers, connectors, accessory hardware and tools designed specifically for wireless transmission line systems. WBC is a low-loss 50 Ω braided flexible cable designed for land mobile radio, paging, WLL, mobile, fixed wireless and in-building wireless networks.

The company claims its feeder and jumper cable technology offers superior broadband electrical performance, high reliability and technical advantages to global network operators and providers. The main features and benefits of the cable technology are:

* Broadband performance - only one cable needed, that offers superior RF performance regardless of operational frequency requirements.

* Smooth-wall cable - means secure, simplified, efficient and repeatable connectorisation, delivering improved RF performance.

* Fully bonded composite cable - offers protection against water ingress and migration, and is light yet robust.

* Lower life cycle costs - network performance improved and network costs reduced compared to corrugated cable technology.

CommScope also provides UTP and fibre- optic cables for a variety of network applications. CommScope is TL-9000 and ISO-9001 certified. Hiconnex has been providing cable and interconnect solutions for the past 20 years to the telecoms, broadband and military/aero markets.
