IDT's 9-Mbit asynchronous true dual-port products operate at access times as low as 10 ns, making them the fastest asynchronous dual-port devices in the industry, according to the manufacturer. They also offer a unique set of features, including a 2,5 V core for low power consumption, selectable 2,5 V/3,3 V I/O options for voltage bus matching between two separate domains, and an innovative sleep mode. The new family of dual-port products offers several mechanisms designed to enable customers to address contention issues between ports, such as busy arbitration logic, semaphore flags and interrupts. These products target markets that require higher densities of high-performance shared memory devices, including wireless base stations, storage area networks, and network switches and routers.
