The G10518 series from Hamamatsu Photonics consists of InGaAs PIN photodiode receivers mounted in industry standard ROSA (receiver optical sub-assembly) packages and capable of 10 Gbps data transmission.
The devices feature high-speed response of up to 10,7 Gbps, making them suitable for a variety of high-speed data transmission applications such as SDH (STM-64 or SONET OC-192), 10 Gigabit Ethernet and storage area networks. Sleeve diameters of 1,25 mm and 2,5 mm are available, making the devices compatible with a range of industry standard transceiver package designs.
The G10518 series is designed to operate with voltage supply of 3,3 Volts and gives a very clear open ‘eye’ response diagram. The devices provide a differential output signal providing increased sensitivity and dynamic range for all 10 Gbps applications.
