Supertex’ HV5523 and HV5623 are 32-channel, high-voltage serial to parallel converters for use in printer and MEMS applications. They feature 32-bit shift registers capable of up to 16 MHz, 32 latches and 5 V control logic to perform polarity selection and blanking of the outputs. The HV5523 shifts data in a counter-clockwise direction, while the HV5623 does so in a clockwise direction. The ICs are suitable for applications that are driven by an open drain output up to 220 V, where their 100 mA minimum sink current capability lets them drive heavy piezo loads with fast slew rates. The devices are available in a 7 x 7 mm, 44-lead QFN package.
