The HD157100 and SH7630, Hitachi's first Bluetooth chipset for short-range radio communications, provides a comprehensive Bluetooth 1.1 hardware solution. The solution includes the high-performance radio (HD157100), and a baseband processor (SH7630) and a complete software stack. The chipset boasts low system cost, high integration and industry-leading performance making it ideal for a wide range of standalone applications, such as mobile terminals, set-top boxes, access points and digital still cameras. It incorporates a Parthus Technologies-licensed Bluestream baseband and protocol stack. It can be used with a separate host controller, or in standalone mode with a full on-chip stack. Supports Bluetooth Classes 2 and 3. The HD157100 is available in QFN-36 package, and SH7630 can be ordered as a TBGA-208 or FP-176 package.
